  • Genetic markers (MTHFR, COMT, APOE — with explicit privacy warning in the App)
  • Neurological data (processing speed, working memory scores)
  • Vitamins & minerals (vitamin D, B12, iron, magnesium)

Important: Biological data is entirely optional. You choose what to share. Genetic data carries a privacy warning in the App. This data may be entered manually or via voice input (speech-to-text, processed locally — audio is not stored).

2.5 Biometric Data

2.5.1 Facial Analysis (ARKit, iOS only)

On supported iOS devices (iPhone X and later), TAKLIVA can read 52 facial muscle activation values ("blend shapes") using Apple's ARKit framework. This data is:

  • Processed entirely on your device (no images are captured or transmitted)
  • Used in real-time to understand your emotional and physiological state
  • Held in memory only — not stored in any database
  • Included in temporary snapshots sent to the AI for room personalization (as numeric values, not images)
  • Requires your explicit camera permission

2.5.2 Apple HealthKit Data (iOS only)

With your permission, TAKLIVA can read the following from Apple HealthKit:

  • Heart rate (bpm)
  • Heart rate variability / HRV (SDNN, milliseconds)
  • Sleep analysis (total, deep, and REM hours)
  • Step count (last hour)
  • Active energy burned (last hour)

HealthKit data is read every 2 minutes while the App is active. It is held in memory only, included in AI snapshots for personalization, and never stored in our database. Each data type requires individual permission via iOS.

2.6 Behavioral & Interaction Data

While you use the App, we collect interaction patterns in memory to personalize your experience in real-time:

  • Tap frequency and patterns
  • Screen visit duration and navigation
  • Typing speed
  • Idle periods
  • Gesture events (swipe, long press, pinch)
  • App foreground/background transitions
  • Ultradian rhythm detection (rest-activity cycle derived from interaction patterns)

This data is held in memory only and discarded when you close the App. It is not stored in any database. It is included in temporary AI snapshots to adapt the room environment to your current state.

2.7 Context & Environment Data

  • Calendar events (minutes until next event, event title truncated to 50 characters) — requires calendar permission
  • Weather data (temperature, pressure, humidity) via OpenWeatherMap API — requires location permission
  • Approximate location (latitude/longitude, used solely for weather lookup — not tracked or stored)
  • Time of day, timezone, and locale
  • Computed circadian position and sunlight phase

2.8 Music & Audio Data

  • Stem listening sessions (duration, energy level, mood, which stems were active)
  • Music play history (track and detected mood at time of play)
  • Microphone access (for voice input on the biological data screen only — audio is transcribed locally and not stored)

2.9 Device Information

  • Device type, operating system, and screen dimensions
  • Push notification tokens
  • Network connectivity status

3. AI Processing & Profiling

3.1 How AI Uses Your Data

TAKLIVA uses AI (Anthropic Claude) to create a personalized environment that adapts to you. Every 5–10 minutes while you use the App, a snapshot of your current state is assembled and sent to Anthropic's API. This snapshot may include:

  • Your energy, mood, and focus state
  • Know Yourself profile and biological data
  • Facial blend shape values (numeric, not images)
  • HealthKit readings
  • Behavioral interaction patterns
  • Recent journal entry excerpts (truncated)
  • AI memories about your patterns and preferences
  • Session context (screens visited, idle time, gestures)
  • Music playback state

This data is used by Anthropic solely to generate a response and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the request lifecycle, per their data usage policy.

3.2 AI Memory & Learning

The AI builds a personalized understanding of you over time, stored in our database as structured memories. These include:

  • Observations — patterns the AI notices (e.g., "user is more focused in the morning")
  • Insights — conclusions drawn from multiple observations
  • Predictions — anticipated states based on learned patterns
  • Personality model — inferred traits, coaching tone, and communication style
  • Preferences — colors, motion speeds, music preferences, difficulty levels

Each memory has a confidence score and evidence count. You can view and delete AI memories in the App settings.

3.3 Observation Log

We log session-level data to improve the AI's effectiveness:

  • What room configuration was shown (colors, layers, motion, stems)
  • Your state before and after the session
  • Session quality score (engagement, duration, state improvement)
  • AI intent and specialist agent readings

This allows the AI to learn which environments help you — for example, that warm colors at night lead to longer, calmer sessions for you specifically.

3.4 AI Strategy

The AI maintains a strategy profile for your account that tracks:

  • Inferred life phase and discovered goals (with confidence scores)
  • Coaching approach and push level
  • Feature priorities

3.5 Context Associations

We store learned correlations between context and effective UI configurations:

  • Time of day, mood state, or task type → which room settings worked best
  • Success rates and sample sizes for each association

3.6 Automated Decision-Making

The AI automatically adjusts your experience based on your data (room colors, music selection, coaching tone, content ordering, difficulty levels). These are environmental adaptations, not decisions with legal or significant effects. You can override any AI decision via chat or settings. Under GDPR Article 22, you have the right to request human review of any automated decision. Contact us at privacy@takliva.com.

4. Data Storage & Security

  • All persistent data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS)
  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest
  • Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data
  • API keys are stored server-side, never in the app bundle
  • Stripe handles all payment data; we never see your card details
  • Biometric data (facial blend shapes, HealthKit) is held in memory only and never stored in our database
  • Behavioral interaction data is held in memory only and discarded when you close the App

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
  • Anthropic — AI processing (data sent per-request, not retained by Anthropic)
  • OpenWeatherMap — Weather data lookup (receives your approximate location)
  • Stripe — Payment processing (premium subscriptions)
  • Apple/Google — App distribution and push notifications

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (viewable in your profile and settings)
  • Edit your data (editable in the App)
  • Delete your account and all associated data (including AI memories, biological data, know-yourself profile, journal entries, and observation logs)
  • Export your data (contact us)
  • View and delete AI memories — see what the AI has learned about you and remove specific memories in App settings
  • Withdraw consent for special category data processing at any time
  • Opt out of optional data collection (biological data, facial analysis, HealthKit, calendar, location)

GDPR (EU/EEA Users)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR:

  • Right to rectification
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to data portability
  • Right to restrict processing
  • Right to object to processing
  • Right to not be subject to solely automated decision-making (Article 22)
  • Right to withdraw consent for special category data (Article 9)

Legal basis for processing: We process your data based on consent (special category data, biometrics, health), contract performance (account, content), and legitimate interest (usage analytics, AI personalization). To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@takliva.com.

CCPA (California Users)

California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal data is collected
  • Request deletion of personal data
  • Opt out of sale of personal data (we do not sell data)

7. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained as long as your account is active
  • Journal entries are stored indefinitely until you delete them
  • AI memories persist until you delete them or delete your account
  • Upon account deletion, all data (including AI memories, biological profiles, know-yourself data, observation logs, and context associations) is permanently removed within 30 days
  • Community chat messages may be retained in anonymized form for content moderation
  • Payment records are retained as required by law
  • Biometric data (facial, HealthKit) and behavioral data are never persisted — they exist in memory only during active sessions

8. Children's Privacy

TAKLIVA is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

9. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these services.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted in the App and on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
